Well, hello there good people, and happy Tuesday!

Today, I'm going to share another throwback image but this one is more on the personal side of things for me.

This is my last-born daughter and I shot this portrait when she was about 3 months old. I was on maternity leave at the time and I remember thinking a lot about how my job as a photographer is to preserve people's memories and that I should also do a better job of preserving my own. 20 minutes later I had her dressed and ready to photograph.

It's now three years later and I am so thankful that I have this photo! All this to say that investing in photography is investing in keeping your memories alive - and that is a worthwhile investment!

I experienced this to be true when I took this photograph. I remember thinking "Oh yeah! I definitely nailed this shot!" and during the post-production process as I was adding the finishing touches to this photograph, I just sensed that this was going to be a special image. One year later, my feelings haven't changed.

That's why I love photography so much!

It was such a pleasure to work with this beautiful mommy! She reached out to me from an ad I posted and recognized me from church. I got to meet her wonderful family and together, we created such beautiful photographs and captured priceless memories of their family's legacy and heritage. What an honour it was to work with them!

Side Note: The gorgeous gown that my beautiful client is wearing in the first picture was made by my beautiful and ridiculously talented older sister - Marthe Badibanga of ! Once she gets her social media and website up and running, you can expect to see more of her beautiful work showcased on my clients because she has a real gift!
