Churches of Southern Sask

Churches of Southern Sask A page dedicated to the many old Churches throughout southern Sask (a Worel Photography Collection) Enjoy the photos, sharing of memories is most welcome!

At the moment, my collection is 99% churches in southern Saskatchewan. I love to capture the older churches before they deteriorate or are renovated into private homes (I prefer to see a renovation saving a church rather than seeing them demolished). I don’t have the opportunity to travel the upper ‘half’ of our province often enough, but when I do I snap away and will post! So much of our history

revolves around churches, so many of us had grandparents, great-grandparents who met at these churches back in the day when small towns and farms were the life-blood of our province. They were a part of almost everyone’s life and are historic treasures to be preserved where possible. Note I do not use AI and do minimal editing (I don't own Lightroom or any of those expensive editing programs).

St. Paul's Cathedral in Regina. When I was growing up it was St. Paul's Procathedral, we called it St. Paul's Anglican Church. Many memories of Sunday School, Girl Guides in the hall to the north, Confirmation classes, weddings, etc. Happy Easter to all!
