Today we celebrated the final day of my spring programs, and what a wonderful season it has been!
I am forever grateful to each and every family who chooses to bring their children to MRH. It is such a privilege to watch these children learn, grow, explore, and make memories together.

Tomorrow I’ll be hosting a kindergarten class, and then I’ll be enjoying a little break before summer camps begin! β˜€οΈπŸŒΏ

Summer Camp Update!

Juniper Camp now has available drop off dates!
$70/day
$330/week

Each week has 2 available spots.

You can still book the full week or choose from the dates provide on the sign up form.

This program is geared toward children aged 4–10 (entering SK or children who have attended my program before).

The Juniper Program runs 9:00–3:00 for the full week and is a wonderful opportunity for siblings to participate together.

Enjoy a week full of fun activities in a beautiful yard with many unique structures for children to play, explore, and challenge themselves on.

We are surrounded by forest, which we explore daily, continuously learning about the environment we live in and its amazing little critters.

Each day offers a hands-on learning opportunity for the children to take part in, along with daily crafts.

We also have a mini putt course on site, will cool off with the sprinkler each afternoon, and finish the day enjoying a nice cold freezie!

Another wonderful day outside with our preschoolers! πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈ
The outdoors provides endless opportunities for learning, exploring, and growing. Today was filled with adventure, laughter, and friendships as we made memories together in the forest.
There is something so special about watching children connect with nature and each other. πŸ’šπŸŒ²

Douglas Fir’s final camp day of spring! πŸŒ²πŸ’š
What an amazing season with this wonderful group of children!
We shared so much fun, learning, teamwork, exploration, and adventure. Each week brought new ideas, discoveries, and opportunities to grow together. I loved taking my planning to the next level, and the children worked so well as a team throughout the season.
Today, we completed an owl painting that they have been asking me to make for quite some time. They turned out beautifully! πŸ¦‰πŸŽ¨
But more than anything, today’s goal was simply to enjoy a day outdoors with friendsβ€”a perfect celebration of all the hard work, curiosity, and enthusiasm they brought over the last few weeks.
Thank you, Douglas Fir group, for such a fantastic spring season. What a wonderful way to end our time together! πŸŒΏβ˜€οΈ

Little walk down memory lane today πŸ’›
Today we visited Valleyview Little Animal Farm.
The last time we went, my boys were still so little. I’ve always felt like COVID took away visits we could have made when Autumn was young, and I never really got to enjoy that β€œlast visit.”
Luckily for me, I now have two young nephews, and we decided to all go together today!
Did we feel a little weird and out of place at times? Of course πŸ˜† My kids were definitely the biggest ones there!
But we put that aside and simply enjoyed a morning at this sweet little farm β€” a place I visited so many times when my children were young. It was so nice watching my big kids just be kids again for a little while.
I truly enjoyed this β€œlast visit.” A bittersweet morning filled with so many memories of those precious moments when my big kids were still small πŸ’›

What a beautiful day to be outside β€” filled with toads, visits from Holly and Bear, chick cuddles, Millie love, and even a walk down to visit our lovely neighbours’ horses 🐴
The children spent time creating rivers, engaging in lots of imaginative play, and learning about the importance of pollinators β€” especially for fruit trees. We talked about how apple trees need cross-pollination to help produce fruit and why bees play such an important role in that process 🍎🌸🐝
