Is Raja Ampat still worth diving when the manta season is over?
Nine months after our January trip, we returned to Dampier Strait to find out. We expected fewer highlights—but what we discovered surprised us. Massive schools of fish, Napoleon wrasse, bumphead parrotfish, turtles, wobbegong sharks, eagle rays, and an incredible diversity of marine life made every dive memorable.

No mantas. No shortage of wonder.
