On Saturday afternoon, Markham Fire and Emergency Services responded to a commercial structure fire in the area of Steelcase Rd E and Esna Park Dr. Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy smoke conditions and quickly upgraded the incident to a working fire. Firefighters worked quickly to bring the fire under control and achieve a rapid knockdown. There were no reported injuries.

Late Tuesday afternoon Vaughan Fire was called to the area of Snidercroft Avenue for a reported grass fire near the rail tracks. Upon arrival crews encountered a large wind driven fire that would eventually spread to trailers and other miscellaneous contents. There were no reported injuries.
