Looking through 2025’s film archives and it appears I did my best to fully embrace the Norwegian philosophy of Friluftsliv, which translates roughly to ‘life in the open air’. My favourite place is outside, and I never regret going outside. I see it as an essential component of my wellbeing and a non-negotiable - and feeling extra fortunate that I’m able to do so on such a regular basis.

Some sneaks from where nearly 3000 riders braved the wildfire smoke, cycled from Vancouver to Whistler, and crossed the finish line 🏁 I’m addicted to the atmosphere at these events and nearly always decide I want to take part in the next one. We shall see!

At this year’s nearly 3,000 riders crossed the finish line in Whistler, despite the smoke 💨 I find the atmosphere of these events addictive and can almost guarantee that I’ll decide that I want to take part in the next one. Big kudos to the riders that rode all the way from Vancouver to Whistler, through the wildfire smoke and ended with a smile! 😃 whether I actually put my money where my mouth is and ride next year’s event remains to be seen 👀 🚲 🏔️

Autumn (if September is considered so) in Desolation Sound tends to strip away the summer crowds. The road ends in Lund. After that, it’s boat, kayak, floatplane or you’re swimming up.

Going back over photos from a lovely four days exploring the Sound last year has been delightful, to say the least. Excited for the next one!
