Kentin + Melanie 🥹🤍 THESE TWO!!!

I’ve known Kentin for SO long. We actually used to work together, and he was dating Melanie back then! Life took them in different directions for a while and they spent some time apart, but eventually these two ended up right back where they belonged… together. 🥹

And on Monday, I got to photograph their WEDDING!!! 😭🤍

They are seriously the cutest together, and I am SO freaking happy for them. Getting to photograph this day after knowing Kentin for all these years and knowing a little bit of their story made it that much more special.

And now you get to celebrate all over again in Africa with Melanie’s family there to surround you with even more love. 🥹🌍 What a beautiful, unforgettable way to continue your story together. I hope your wedding celebration in Africa is everything you’ve dreamed of and more!

Okay… I don’t even know where to start with these two. 😂🤍

First of all… it was HOT. Like, “is the sun trying to personally attack us?” kind of hot. 🥵 But Madi and Tom were absolute troopers. They were so easygoing, laughed through everything, and made my job feel ridiculously easy.

And Madi… your commentary all day long had me absolutely dying. 😂 I don’t think there was a single dull moment, and honestly, your energy is everything.

During her speech, she mentioned that they planned this entire wedding in just TWO months and couldn’t believe they still managed to fill a room with so many people.

But after spending the day with them… I am not even surprised. These two are the kind of people you instantly want to be friends with. They’re hilarious, genuine, welcoming, and just so easy to be around. Of course they filled a room with people who wanted to celebrate them.

Now… let’s talk about the details because they were SO good.

The pups in matching bandanas? 🥹
The custom beer labels from Rival Trade? Obsessed. 🍻
And then… the taxidermy marten. 😂

Yes, you read that correctly.

Madi opened a taxidermy marten as a wedding gift and was SO excited about it. The second I saw it, I knew it deserved its own little photoshoot. 😂 And somehow… I left the wedding completely obsessed with this tiny cowboy marten.1

This entire day was just so unapologetically them. Every little detail had personality, every moment was filled with laughter, and every person in that room made it so obvious why they were able to fill it in just two months.

Madi & Tom, thank you for trusting me to capture such an incredible day. It was one of those weddings that leaves your cheeks sore from smiling, and I truly loved every second of it. I can’t wait for you two to relive it all through these photos. 🤍

AHHHH!! A huge congratulations to Cass and Carver on their engagement!!! 🤍🥹

I have been so excited to share these!!

We headed out to Ya Ha Tinda for their engagement session, and honestly… what a backdrop. This spot is special to them, and I absolutely love when my couples choose a location that has a little meaning behind it. It just makes the whole session feel that much more like them.

These two were so much fun to photograph. So many laughs, so many sweet moments, and they absolutely crushed it in front of the camera!!

Also… can we talk about Ya Ha Tinda for a second?! Every time I photograph out here I leave wondering why I don’t shoot here even more. The views are absolutely unreal and it is quickly becoming one of my favourite places to photograph.

Cass and Carver, thank you for trusting me to capture such an exciting season of your lives. I am SO excited for you both, and I seriously cannot wait for your wedding day!! It’s going to be such an incredible day! 🤍✨

Congratulations to Sheila and Lane on your wedding day!! 🤍⚡️

Okay… WHAT ARE THE CHANCES?!

The sky looked absolutely incredible, but I honestly wasn’t expecting lightning. Then, out of nowhere, the VERY FIRST lightning strike happened the exact second I clicked the shutter!

My first thought was, “There’s no way I got that… I don’t even have my wide lens on.”

I looked at the back of my camera…

AND THERE IT WAS. 😭⚡️

I seriously couldn’t have planned it any better. A LOT of my couples ask for lighting and this is only the second one I’ve been able to get!!! Fingers crossed for more beautiful stormy weddings!

And before anyone asks… YESSSS. This is REAL lightning. No AI!! Just the craziest timing.

Now… photographing with a storm rolling in also comes with consequences. 😂 By the time I packed up and headed back, I drove straight into damn near golf ball-sized hail and my poor vehicle took a pretty good beating. 💀

Thankfully Sheila and Lane made it out before I did. 😂🤍 I’d say this wedding is one I’ll never forget.

As many of you have probably seen, I’ve taken on a new passion… and I’ve completely fallen in love with it. 🤍

Over the last little while, I’ve been pouring my heart into hosting photography retreats, and it’s honestly been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Watching photographers step outside their comfort zones, build confidence, make lifelong friendships, and create images they’re so proud of has been such an incredible experience.

And don’t worry… you can bet I’m still photographing all of your weddings, engagements, families, and everything in between. 🫶 Photography has been my passion for years, and that isn’t changing anytime soon. If anything, this new adventure has made me love it even more.

As much as I love capturing your biggest moments and telling your stories, I’ve realized I also love helping other photographers grow, gain confidence, and chase their own dreams.

I’m so grateful for everyone who’s supported me through this new adventure. Whether you’ve booked a session, shared a post, attended a retreat, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines, thank you. It truly means the world.

I honestly can’t wait to see where this journey takes me. Here’s to continuing to capture your special moments while building something that has completely stolen my heart.

When I say the weather network completely lied to us… I mean COMPLETELY. 😂

We started Sheridan and Shae’s engagement session at Ya Ha Tinda by getting absolutely poured on. Rain jackets on, hair getting soaked, and all of us questioning our life choices for a minute there.

But these two? Total troopers.

Not once did they complain. Not once did they let the weather steal the excitement of the evening. They just kept laughing, having fun, and soaking up every minute together (literally).

And then… the rain finally moved out, the clouds started to break, and the mountains made their grand appearance. The view we came for. 🤍

The best part? I barely had to direct them. These two are so naturally in love that all they had to do was be together. The way they look at each other, laugh together, and simply enjoy being in each other’s company made my job ridiculously easy.

Rain or shine, these two were all in.

And honestly? I think the rain just made the story even better. SHERIDAN & SHAE, GET READY FOR YOUR GALLERY!! 🩷🩷🩷

My best friend got married in Nashville the other day and I seriously couldn’t be happier for them!! 🩷🩷The week was full of music, dancing, singing, tears and a ton of laughs!! We had the BEST time!! 💍🤠 Perhaps round #2 for their one year anniversary?? Haha 🤣 Cheers to Mr & Mrs Scott!!!
