🙋🏻‍♀️Not sure who else needed this reminder today but I sure did!
It’s the time of the year that is hectic for many of us (especially photographers 😝) and when the house is a mess I feel like a mess. And when I don’t spend the time I need to care for myself it directly impacts how I view myself in my wife and mother role.
I reminded myself today though, even with unwashed hair and a messy house, I can still be an awesome mom. So my intention for tonight is to just focus on what I CAN control in this phase. My presence with my kids 💗 Have an amazing weekend!

👷‍♀️Did you know that before I had my own maternity photos done at age 22, I had been working in the construction industry for two years after graduating with a diploma in residential construction?
I was one of 3 women who graduated in a program of 150+ guys..
Needless to say, if you had told me on my graduation day that 10 years from now I'd have built an established newborn and maternity photography business... I'd say you were CRAZY!

But life happens. Motherhood changed me and led me down a new path. And thats the beauty of life! Did you change careers after becoming a mother?
