I donated a photo session to a senators fundraiser for Freedom Dog Rescue a few years back. Thomas Chabot, Marion and Milo were the winning bidders. What a memorable day this was for me. πŸΎπŸ’πŸΎ

Freedom Dog Rescue said goodbye to their sweet palliative girl, Sophia yesterday. Sophia suffered from mammary cancer but in care, she got top notch veterinary care, a loving foster home and an opportunity to check items off her bucket list. At her photoshoot with her amazing foster family, Sophia ran and played and found the BEST sticks ever. Such a sweet happy girl who knew she was loved. Now she can be pain free at the bridge. Rest well sweet Sophia, you were so loved and will be missed. ❀️

Saturday morning, Freedom Dog Rescue lost one of the most senior members of our Palliative Foster Program, Silas. His devoted foster dad Rock was by his side from the beginning of his Freedom journey. Silas came to rescue emaciated and in rough shape but with the love of his foster dad and with the medical care he deserved, he truly grew into a happy boy. I was fortunate enough to be able to do a session with them in June. Thank you Rock for your unconditional love and devotion to these palliative babies. Our hearts are with you during this sad time.

Hi, hi, hi, hi! My name is Tiger and I love to run and play and jump and catch bugs and play and oh, I am 1.5 years old. I am looking for my forever home, I can be selective with dogs but I love attention and pets. Ontario is a pretty nice place but since I fall under BSL (Breed Specific Legislation), I need a home outside of this province. If you think you are my forever family please fill out an adoption application. You can find more info here Freedom Dog Rescue or freedomdogrescue.ca or you can email [email protected] Oh, one last thing, I like to play and chew things and run. Did I already mention that? Kisses,

-Tiger

Look into those eyes!!! This gorgeous Shepard mix, Tiga, is only 5 years old and she would love a family of her own. She would prefer to be the only dog so she can get all the love and belly rubs for herself. If you think you might be the family Tiga is looking for, please contact [email protected] Freedom Dog Rescue for more info.

I can't even imagine the kind of person who could dump a senior dog because they can't be bothered with them anymore. This 10 year old gentle Golden Retriever was found as a stray in Quebec and brought into a kill shelter. He was hours away from being euthanized when Freedom Dog Rescue stepped up to bring this boy into care. Nolan came to his palliative foster dad with a big grin and a slow gentle wag of his tail. He adores his palliative foster sister Chloe and is feeling a million times better now that he has some pain relief meds for his arthritic hips. Such a sweet typical Golden, he loves to love and carries a toy around when he goes for walks with his new forever foster family. I was so touched by this boy and so grateful I got to do a photo session with him. My gratitude also extends to his amazing foster dad who now cares for two of Freedom's Palliative babies.

If it weren't for the Freedom Dog Rescue Palliative Care Foster Program, Nolan and the 16 other dogs in Freedom's care would have been euthanized. This amazing program gives these dogs a chance to live with dignity, love and care and when it is their time to go, they are held and leave our world knowing love. To support Nolan or dogs like him, please check out Freedom Dog Rescue's website under Palliative Fosters or you can email [email protected]

I was invited out to do a special photoshoot (at a distance) for a pair that really need the help right now. Meet bonded pair Bonnie (brown) and Clyde (black). This gorgeous pair of Labs had a rough go but in true Lab style they are full of joy and love and goofy antics.

These two were picked up by Hawksbury O.P.P and then the Alfred Plantagenet pound. The pound contacted Freedom Dog Rescue and advised them that Bonnie seemed to be in pain. This sweet pair was picked up immediately and brought to Freedom's temporary kennel for the night where the owner noticed that Bonnie seemed to have an abscess burst. Bonnie was rushed to the vet where they discovered she was bruised all over her belly likely from being kicked and had been shot with a .22. Immediate emergency care was administered and these two sweet Labs are now recovering in a loving foster home and will soon be available for adoption.

If you would like to donate towards their vetting please do so by etransfer at [email protected]

There is an open investigation into the mistreatment of these two. If you or anyone you know has any information please contact Freedom Dog Rescue or Hawksbury OPP.

Due to the current situation I have not been booking any sessions. Yesterday I got a message from a friend who had to say goodbye to one of her babies. I decided to make an exception and met them for about 10 minutes to capture a few moments of sweet Meatballs last day. I used a very long lens and we kept our distance. I was really happy to be able to do this for Meatball and her Mama. This furbaby is so loved. Run free sweet Meatball, you will always be remembered. ❀️

If you find yourself needing a Celebration of Life session please contact me. I can come to you and keep a distance. Stay safe and hug your Furkids. πŸ’œ
