Quick tip: If you're getting passport or other ID photos done, it's best to wear a light coloured, though not solid white shirt.

Sometimes, it's the little things that make the biggest difference.

We recently did a family portrait and due to a lengthy car ride, one of the youngsters wasn't really feeling it.

No matter how we tried to coax him out of his shell, he wasn't having it. Instead, we gave him some space and worked with everyone else to give him a little time.

Eventually he found a grabber that we use around the Studio and it was like a switch got flipped - suddenly he was all smiles.

In the end, we wound up with a great session and got everything done that we needed to. Sometimes all it takes a little patience and an unexpected toy.
