Happy April! - and with that, Mother’s Day is just around the corner. 🌸🤍✨

As well as Mother’s Day sessions, I am ALSO offering a promotion on giftcards this year to accommodate a more flexible option for booking a session in 2026, as well as a great gifting option in time for Mother’s Day!

If you’re new here, HI! I’m Kate! ✨

I’m from a small town in Ontario just making my way through this crazy world by capturing your big and little moments alike. I’ve been at this thing for quite a few years now, but decided to take the full time route after my maternity leave ended in 2024.

I dedicate my work to anything motherhood inspired - I truly believe mothers DESERVE their moment. I’ve had the pleasure of capturing many Maternity, Fresh 48, Newborn, Motherhood and Family sessions over the last few years when I decided to transition in to full time photography.

But with this, falling in love with love stories also holds a soft spot for me. I can not explain to you how moved I am to capture such beautiful big days filled with such tender moments (and yes, I’ll probably spend half the day silently sobbing behind my camera because of who I am as a person).

Some other fun facts about me:
✨ I like LOVE music - any concert I can get my hands on, I’ll go. Currently dying to get tickets tomorrow IYKYK
✨ I have a small plot of land on my parents property where I started growing flowers during maternity leave. What started as a small peony patch, has now escalated to multiple breeds of dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, gladiolus, sunflowers to make cute bouquets through the summer and sell on my farm stand. This year, I was able to take the leap and start operating as a florist through the winter months to work on a wedding and now offer year round beauties.
✨ the daydreamer in me will never tell you know. You bet your bottom I will always have a vision for your ideas because of this blessing and a curse of living in my head.

✨ this Pisces baby was born on St Patrick’s day! I guess it’d be criminal to let you know my favourite colour is green and my roots are Irish?? Only true words!!

All in all, it’s a blessing to do what I do and work with so many wonderful humans that I have. I am so excited to see what 2026 will bring not only for Kate McCarthy Photos, but for all of my past and future clients as well 🤍
