Thank you to Miss Freida Whales and her fabulous pod for the top-notch entertainment this morning, and thank you to the Salmon Arm Pride Project and all of the amazing humans who worked so hard to organize and host this joy-filled community event.

The first Pride was a riot. The first Salmon Arm Pride Parade was a blast.

What a wonderful showing of joy, love, and support in our community. Big love to the Salmon Arm Pride Project for all of their hard work to organize this weekend's events.

Last night was full of ceremony and celebration as SD83 K̓wsaltktnéws ne Secwepemcúl’ecw honoured their 2026 Indigenous Graduates.

Five schools were represented, and a full house at the Splatsin Centre showed the community support that goes into making it to this milestone. Cheers were hollered, tears were shed, and it was made very obvious that this is so much more than a certificate.

Congratulations, Graduates. Life awaits you, and I am confident that you are going to make the most of it.

On a personal note, I would like to thank the Indigenous Education department and the community for inviting and warmly welcoming me into this space. It is a privilege and an honour.

Thank you to Phaedra and Bella for being my lighting testers today! I loved having these wonderful women in the studio and am looking forward to more of this.

And an extra shout out to Bella's rugby 7's team, as they get ready to head to Provincials next week after winning their regional title!
