When I captured the photos for Forgotten Beauty, I wanted to photograph man-made objects or structures that have been abandoned or neglected by society. My goal was to show beauty beyond the neglect.

These photos serve as a reminder of the past. look beyond the rust and decay and imagine the beauty of what was and appreciate the beauty of what still is.

In my travels through Southern Ontario and Michigan searching for neglected or abandoned objects and structures, I began to appreciate the past. Old houses and cars were built with purpose. Beauty was in the simplicity, which is still apparent today.

Practical, simple and understated beauty is what I attempted to capture in these forgotten treasures.
