✨ 4 years ago I pushed myself harder than I ever thought I could. ✨
Pregnant, on my hands and knees for 6 hours, scratched up from the concrete and callused from the pastels. I didn’t win the street art competition at the Lawrence House… but I walked away with something even better—an unforgettable experience and a piece of my heart left in my favorite community. ❤️

Sometimes it’s not about winning - it’s about the courage to show up, create, and leave your mark. 🎨

As Breastfeeding Awareness Month comes to an end, I want to leave you with a reminder of why I’ll never stop showing up for this.

Breastfeeding is not something that needs to be hidden. It’s not inappropriate. It’s not something mothers should feel ashamed of doing in public.

It’s nourishment. It’s comfort. It’s connection. It’s motherhood.

And whether it happens for a few days, a few months, a few years, exclusively, occasionally, or alongside formula… every breastfeeding journey deserves respect.

I want to normalize seeing babies at the breast. I want our children to grow up seeing breastfeeding as what it is: a completely normal part of caring for a baby.

So as Breastfeeding Awareness Month comes to an end, I’m not putting my camera away. ❤️

I’ll keep photographing it.
I’ll keep celebrating it.
I’ll keep normalizing it.

Because someday, I hope a mother feeding her baby in a sunflower field, under the golden light, beneath the moon, won’t be seen as something unusual at all.

🔥 THIS IS MY BODY. AND I’M RECLAIMING IT. 🔥

At just 2 years old, Karen survived severe burns that left scars across so much of her body. For years, she struggled to love what she saw in the mirror. She never truly felt comfortable in her own skin.

And then came another chapter of her journey: losing a significant amount of weight and learning to recognize the woman staring back at her.

But this photoshoot wasn't about becoming “beautiful enough.” She never needed to become anything to be beautiful.

It was about finally seeing herself.

Not hiding her scars.
Not hiding her body.
Not apologizing for the space she takes up.
Not waiting until she feels “perfect” to celebrate herself.

This is the body that survived.
This is the body that changed.
This is the body she fought to learn to love.
This is HER body.

Her scars don't make her less beautiful. Her weight doesn't determine her worth. Her past doesn't define her.

Karen, I hope these photos remind you of what I see when I look through my camera: a fu***ng beautiful, strong, resilient woman who deserves to feel confident in her own skin.

You survived. You changed. You grew. You fought your way through years of learning to love yourself.

And now you're reclaiming your body, your confidence, and your story.

You don't need anyone's permission to feel beautiful. You already are. ❤️🔥
