This month, the spotlight turns to the Soho studio. Created to honour and celebrate the incredible fashion talent in Saskatchewan, this shoot blends an editorial vision with a soft, timeless aesthetic. The result is imagery that feels elevated yet delicate, modern, yet enduring.
Meet Amanda Zaki: A lifestyle photographer based in Saskatoon who believes love should be documented beautifully, honestly, and timelessly.
Q: What was the story behind this shoot?
A: âI wanted to honour and celebrate the amazing fashion talent of Saskatchewan while bringing out the natural beauty, confidence, and strength of this stunning young model. A true collaboration of creativity, passion, and artistry.â
Q: If you could photograph any person-living or historical-who it be and why?
A: âI would love to photograph Taylor Swift because she represents storytelling at its highest level. Every era she creates is visually and emotionally intentional, offering endless creative inspiration. Capturing her would be about more than just a portrait â it would be about translating her artistry, evolution, and emotional depth into a single frame.â
Q: Whatâs one lesson youâve learned that youâd share with new photographers?
A: âPractice, practice, practice â you can never practice enough. Ask your friends and family to be your subjects, and donât forget to challenge yourself by shooting in less-than-ideal conditions. Growth happens when you step outside your comfort zone.â
