Some weddings stay with you because of the details… Others stay with you because of how they felt.

Alexis and Andrew chose a day that felt wonderfully uncomplicated. 50 of their favourite people. An outdoor ceremony. An evening at the art gallery. One of the hottest days of the year.

Before it all began, they sat outside together that morning and read the vows they’d written for one another. There was no wedding party, no rushing from one thing to the next, just an afternoon spent wandering the city together before celebrating with the people they love most.

A wedding day isn’t meant to be something you just get through. It’s something to experience.

Their day was exactly that. 💫

There’s something incredibly special about getting to observe people on one of the biggest days of their lives.

I get to watch families grow bigger. I see hugs last a little longer. Parents trying to soak in every second. Friends looking at each other with the kind of joy that only comes from years of shared memories.

And then there are the quieter moments. The in-betweens. The spaces before they come to life. The atmosphere. The details that tell the story alongside everything else.

They’re easy to miss while you’re living them but somehow they’re often the moments that mean the most years later.

Maybe that’s what I love most about photographing weddings… Getting to notice the things that might otherwise be missed and preserve them for the people who lived them.

From thoughtfully thrifted details collected over time to a five course family style dinner shared under the tent, every part of the day felt personal and intentional.

A truly unforgettable day that felt like them in every way.
