If you’re on my email list, your received an email from me yesterday where I shared that I am totally awkward when I step out from BEHIND the camera and get in FRONT of the lens for my own photos.

So, for anyone who may feel a little less-than-confident about rocking your photos, just know you are not alone and continue reading.

Here are my top 3 tips for actually relaxing so you can enjoy your session.

1. Being prepared. If you are rushing around on the day of your session to get final pieces to your outfits. You have not eaten. You are surviving off caffeine because you had a late night the night before. You are not going to arrive at the studio and feel refreshed and ready to be in front of the camera. Get a great sleep. Put your outfits together the day before. Drink lots of water.

2. Have outfits that fit you well. There is nothing more stressful than wearing an outfit that isn’t ‘you’ and is ill-fitting. All of that stress will show up on your face.

3. Know you are in great hands. I have been photographing women for 15 years. I want you to feel confident and feel your best when you are in the studio. I want the best for you and want the best images from your session- so you can relax just knowing that.
