U.S. President Donald Trump is moving to impose 50 per cent tariffs on many Canadian exports. The rate is five times higher than the current tariff imposed on a limited selection of Canadian products. Defending champion Argentina faced off against one-time winner Spain in New Jersey Sunday in search of the FIFA World Cup trophy. Calgary police blast songs from The Lion King, Frozen to help find missing boy

The search for an 11-year-old boy in Calgary is in its fourth day and Calgary police have added a new tactic in their ongoing search efforts - Disney music. Parker, who is on the autism spectrum, was last seen on CCTV footage Thursday morning, not long after walking away from his day home. “Officers are playing some of his favourite songs from patrol vehicles in the search area in the hope that it may help draw his attention and encourage him to come out if he is nearby,” Calgary police said in a post on X. Vancouver businesses report lost revenue due to 2026 FIFA World Cup

Over several weeks, the FIFA World Cup captivated millions of Canadians at home and abroad. While bars and restaurants benefited from the World Cup craze, other businesses bracing for a boost were left sorely disappointed. “The World Cup was a competitor to local entertainment options, as opposed to one that would attract more people to the city,” Nikki Wright, General Manager of the Underground Comedy Club in Vancouver, said. As Sarah MacDonald reports, with the turf rolled up in Vancouver and Toronto, analysts are already conducting an economic post-mortem.
