Si cette vue te dit de quoi, c’est pas pour rien : c’est le panorama exact qui se trouvait au verso du rare billet de 1000 $ de la Banque du Canada (série de 1954).
Pour te ramasser dans le décor du billet, faut que tu montes au belvédère de L'Anse-Saint-Jean, juste à côté de Saguenay. C'est fou de voir comment les terres agricoles, la rivière Saint-Jean et les caps du fjord se marient ensemble. Un vrai voyage dans le temps face à un joyau caché de notre patrimoine.
La plupart du monde passe dans le coin sans même savoir qu’ils ont un morceau d'histoire devant les yeux.

If this landscape looks strangely familiar, it’s because it was immortalized on the back of Canada’s rare 1954 series $1000 banknote.
This exact perspective can be found at the look-out in L'Anse-Saint-Jean, tucked away just a short drive from Saguenay. Standing there, you’re looking at the perfect harmony of rolling farmland, the winding Saint-Jean River, and the massive fjord walls cutting through the landscape. It’s one of those rare spots where Canadian history and raw, untouched nature completely collide.
Most people pass through the region without ever knowing they’re looking at a piece of currency history.

If you want the absolute best view of the Thousand Islands, you have to climb the 1000 Islands Tower on Hill Island. From the top deck, the entire Canadian side opens up into a massive maze of deep blue channels and granite islands.
It’s easily one of the most rewarding photography spots in Ontario. You can see for miles.

Y’a des coins de pays qui te coupent le sifflet d’un seul coup, p*s le Saguenay en fait clairement partie. 🌲✨ Entre la démesure des fjords, l'air salin qui frappe le visage et le calme irréel de nos villages perchés, l'été ici a une couleur complètement magique. Des roses sauvages qui bordent le fleuve jusqu’aux panoramas grandioses de Sacré-Cœur, chaque détour donne juste envie de s'arrêter pour respirer le grand coup. Si tu cherches encore ton prochain road trip, arrête de chercher : le Saguenay t'attend. Viens te perdre un peu, tu vas voir à quel point notre Québec est immense et magnifique. If you're looking for a completely unique day trip just outside Sherbrooke, you have to try Les Vélorails de Beaulac-Garthby. You literally pedal a specially modified platform bike directly onto historic railway tracks that run right along the stunning shores of Lac Aylmer.
What you need to know before you go:
The Routes: You can choose between a family-friendly 10 km round trip (takes about 1 to 1.5 hours) or go all out on the 18 km route to Saint-Gérard.
The Experience: The bikes are surprisingly easy to pedal, equipped with a comfortable center canopy seat for the kids (or anyone who wants to just sit back and enjoy the breeze!).
The Views: You get completely unobstructed, gorgeous panoramic views of the lake and lush forests that you can’t see from the main roads.
💡 Pro-Tip: Spots fill up incredibly fast for weekend departures during July and August. Make sure to head over to their official website to book your departure time slot in advance!

Il y a une magie inexplicable quand la musique s'élève sur le lac Massawippi, que le drapeau fleurdelisé flotte fièrement sous la lumière de fin de journée, et que toute une communauté se rassemble au parc de North Hatley. Une énergie brute, des sourires partagés et la fierté pure de notre Saint-Jean. C'est exactement ça, la magie de chez nous.

L’été est officiellement arrivé, p*s y’a absolument rien de mieux que ça. 🧡
Y’a rien qui bat la sainte tradition d’un bon pique-nique au bord de l’eau pour étirer les discussions p*s refaire le monde. Notre p'tite soirée d'hier au Lac Brome avec la gang de bureau était tout simplement magique du gros fun, des bons rires, p*s un coucher de soleil mémorable. C'est ça, la vraie culture de l'été d'ici! Sortez dehors p*s profitez-en au max! 🌅 de l'air frais, de la bonne compagnie, p*s des beaux moments. 🧺✨
