If you could manifest one thing for your life next year, what would it be? 👀✨

With the autumn weather already here, I’m somehow already thinking about winter… and then the new year is right around the corner (don’t worry I won’t say the “C” word just yet). So I’m putting it out into the universe now: I’m manifesting moments that make me stop and stare. The bo***ir sessions that feel empowering, gorgeous and intentional weddings, wild love stories, and adventures in the mountains.

I’ve been reading a lot about manifestation, but I know it takes more than just wishing for it. So tell me; what is one practical thing you’ve done that actually helped turn a dream into reality? I’m taking notes over here ✨

And if you’re thinking about having an adventure, elopement, wedding, or mountain session this coming year… please invite me along.

I’ll bring the camera. You bring the adventure. 🤍

Officially halfway through August and a little over 7 years in business (and over 20 years of attending weddings) I’m going to share some wedding unpopular opinions just because I can.

1. You don’t need a huge wedding party
2. You don’t need to invite your dads uncle who’s a jerk because “he’s family”
3. You absolutely do not need to spend 2k on a wedding dress
4. You can thrift so many things and save some money (and the Earth) in the process
5. Everyone can tell when you use ChatGPT for your speech.
6. A wedding that captures you as a couple is so much better than a Pinterest wedding that could belong to anyone
7. Spend the $$ on a photographer who vibes with your style (and it’s totally ok if it’s not me)
8. Your wedding doesn’t need to be a 12 hour photoshoot. You’re allowed to enjoy it.
9. You’re allowed to say no to a wedding tradition and start your own

Now your turn. What’s your wedding unpopular opinion?

So much love, so much joy, so many people cheering you on and the feeling of finally being DONE.

I don’t capture too many grads but it’s always special when I have a chance to do so. Just a reminder that it’s not too late to capture that special huge accomplishment and there are still a few more days to take advantage of 20% off summer sessions!

Summer is absolutely flying by and it’s almost September! Do you feel mentally ready for fall?

The sweetest little session, wrapped in sunshine. ☀️

This summer has been filled with so much love. I’ve met so many incredible families, welcomed back familiar faces, and been trusted to document moments that matter most. I never take that for granted.

Lately, I’ve noticed a trend where photographers charge an additional fee if clients don’t want their images shared online. I know everyone runs their business differently, but I just wanted to say this:

Your photos are yours.

You’re inviting me into some of the most meaningful moments of your life, and whether those memories stay between you and your family or end up on my Instagram should always be your choice. There should never be pressure to trade your privacy for a lower price.

Of course, I’m always incredibly grateful when clients allow me to share their photos. It’s how many new families find me, and it truly means the world. But if you’d rather keep those memories just for yourselves, I’ll celebrate that too.

Just your friendly photographer reminder that your privacy shouldn’t come with an extra price tag. 🤍
