On an August morning, I stood quietly at the edge of a mountain lake, camera in hand, watching as a moose moved gracefully through the still water. The light was soft, golden, and everything about the moment felt timeless.
There’s something about a moose, towering, calm, and deeply connected to the wild, that always strikes me as majestic; a definition of unconventional beauty, as my mom would say. Their presence commands both respect and awe, a reminder of how small we are in the grand scale of nature.
As photographers, we chase light and perspective, but sometimes it’s the subject itself that humbles us most. That was one of those mornings.
Feeling grateful for the chance to witness and capture the quiet power of the wilderness.
