I’ve been interviewing so many incredible women for my ongoing photo project (message me if you’re interested), and it’s been such a moving experience. The stories are diverse, honest, and deeply resonant. No matter where we are in our journey, motherhood always has a way of connecting us.
It’s a huge, complex topic—and one we can sometimes find ourselves navigating alone.
That’s why I was so excited to sit down with Iris, the founder of The Fourth, a beautiful maternity and postpartum store located on the second floor of Southgate Centre in Edmonton. You have to check it out! The store is gorgeous, full of carefully curated pieces—from nursing and maternity wear to postpartum essentials and thoughtful local gifts.
But The Fourth is so much more than a store.
It’s also a gathering place for new moms—a space to meet, to share stories, to learn from health professionals about the things no one covers in prenatal class, and to open up about things like postpartum anxiety and depression in a supportive circle.
Iris is a gem. Her heart for community is clear in everything she does, and I knew I had to share her story.
Go have a read—you’ll love it.
The Fourth is more than a maternity and nursing store in Edmonton—it’s a community hub where new moms connect through free support.
