We witness them arriving in our town of Simoce, spending their hard-earned money on groceries, local eateries, and purchasing everything from clothing to hardware to send back home.

Without the offshore workers who not only harvest our local crops but also contribute a portion of their wages to our community, our town would be very different without them.

This story often goes untold—until now.

I will ride along on the farm buses and trail a few workers to see and show their night on the town. And show how local business are catering to them.

A heartfelt thanks to these men and women, as well as the farmers who bring them to our town.

An a amazing perspective. To give you more perspective on size. That is me walking beside the ship. I am 6'-8" tall. The Northern Venture is 508 foot long with a 72 foot beam. A ship like the Paul R. Tregurtha is twice as long and has a 105 foot beam. But has the same summer draft.— with McKeil Marine Limited.
