Humber Galleries - Movement Display post! Sadly, it's over and I missed it too!! But my submission was still chosen and on display while the display was on, so still an Amazing accomplishment!! 😊

Humber Galleries X FOTO 122
During the Fall 2024 semester, Humber Galleries embedded an art call into the curriculum for the FOTO 122 class. The goal was to prepare students to participate in future art-based photographic opportunities beyond graduation.
Over the course of the semester, the Humber Galleries team visited classes to discuss and provide feedback on all components of their applications, including drafting an artist biography, statement and CV, and how to promote themselves and their work. Students were asked to submit black and white photographs for a group exhibition exploring the theme “Movement.” Humber Galleries received many impressive submissions and selected 18 photographs to be exhibited. These works capture movement in its various forms that evoke energy, identity and emotion in often fleeting moments, creating a new dialogue that disrupts the audience’s presumed familiarity with the world around us.
