I am incredibly proud to participate in Movember Canada and to see this latest commitment come to life.
Movember is investing $59.5 million (AUD) into the health and wellbeing of Indigenous Communities across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand, Canada, and the USA.
Movember has commited to donating 18.5 million dollars to Indigenous Men's health initiatives in Canada over the next 7 years in addition to all the other programs it currently funds including men's mental health programs, prostate cancer research, testicular cancer receive, and treatment initiatives.
Kaitlyn may hate my moustache every year but I continue to believe in the importance of this program. As a registered nurse who has worked with both cancer patients and people struggling with their mental health, the relative of a prostate cancer survivor, and a man who is stastically at-risk myself, we NEED organisations like Movember and its allies to keep calling attention to men's health concerns.
