Sunset over the ocean. There is something special about living in a place where people take time out of their day, stop what they are doing and drive to watch the sunset over the ocean.

With each wave that hits the shore, my breath slows. It starts to sync with the pattern of the waves. Wet sands creeps in between my toes. The fog that has enveloped both the land and the sea. The heavy mist in the air starts to curl my hair in a way that only ocean mist can. Time and place stand still. So little of the land is visible that it is hard to tell exactly where I am. I could be anywhere in the world. Time stands still. I am connected to the land, sea and air. For a little while I am free of Long Covid, ME/CFS and all the other things Covid left me with. I am able to be me. I am able to hope that I will be able to recover.

There is just something about a sunset over the ocean. The expansiveness of the sky. The endless ocean with a few far off islands. This is where I can sit and take a deep healing breath.
