And... that's a wrap for 2026! 800 kilometres run, 28 public engagements and over $275,000 raised by Wounded Warrior Run BC in support of Wounded Warriors Canada lifesaving programs for our Military members, Veterans, First Responders and their families. It was an amazing eight days, with an amazing team! Thank-you to all of supporters who came out to cheer us on, donated, and talked with us. You make the difference.

Day 7... almost there, and we've smashed our fund-raising total out of the park! At the end of today, we are over $265,000 with one day still to go. Amazing... we started with breakfast at Legion Branch 10 in Nanaimo, and stopped at Ladysmith and Chemainus Legion Branches as well as the City of Duncan Fire Department and finished at the Shawingan Lake Legion... an absolutely outstanding day.

Day Five, and what a day. 108km from Cumberland to Port Alberni, with stops at the Bowser and Qualicum Legions along the way. The weather was dry and cool; perfect for Simon Brown to make the hump in to Port Alberni look like a walk in the park! Fund-raising now sits at over $180,000!!!!

And Day Four is done... A shorter day, distance-wise, but a busy one. Leaving Campbell River this morning we stopped at Oyster River Fire Rescue where we enjoyed a great lunch and then on to the Comox Valley RCMP Detachment to meet up with some old team-mates. After that, it was up Ryan Road to CFB Comox where the team met and ran with a number of Base Personnel and a finish at 888 Wing RCAFA for supper and some amazing donations. Thank-you all for your outstanding support. We're now well over $150,000 raised this year!!!

Day Three! We left Sayward Valley Resort - Fisherboy Park with an es**rt from Sayward Ambulance Paramedics Of BC and Sayward Volunteer Fired Department in the fog which made for some great photography. By the time we reached Roberts Lake, the sun was shining and the cinnamon buns supplied by honorary team-member Vern made for the perfect break. After that it was on to Campbell River where we enjoyed a tasty spaghetti dinner at the Campbell River Legion.

Day Two! The team started with a fantastic breakfast in the Woss Community Hall and enjoyed much better weather than yesterday. It was a day of peaceful running in the beautiful scenery of the north Island. We arrived in Sayward at the Sayward Valley Resort - Fisherboy Park and then the Wounded Warrior Run BC Team headed off on another 9km run to the Sayward Legion for an amazing pot-luck supper.

Well... Day one of the 2026 Wounded Warrior Run BC is in the books. Over 100km completed by our runners in less than ideal conditions with howling winds at the beginning, and pouring rain throughout the day, the team persevered and made it from Port Hardy to Woss, with a stop in Port McNeill on time!

The Wounded Warrior Run BC 2026 Sooke to Sidney One-Day Run was a huge success. Despite some slightly damp weather in the morning, the team completed the run, leaving the The Royal Canadian Legion Br #54 - Sooke BC and stopping at the Langford and Saanich Fire Departments before finishing at the Army, Navy & Air Force Unit #302 in Sidney. This is the kick-off to our main event, taking place between 22 February and 1 March where the team will run from Port Hardy to Victoria in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Wounded Warriors Canada's programs supporting Veterans and First Responders and their families who suffer with Operational Stress Injuries such as PTSD.
