A sweet lil’ Notebook vibes elopement at the Johnson Shore Inn 🌊 🖤

On a cold afternoon, Veronica & Braden eloped, just the two of them, atop some red PEI cliffs near Souris. The waves could be heard crashing behind them, the sea mist hitting our faces as we laughed and also witnessed just how special their connection is. We drank some bubbly, got warmed up in the Inn, listening to stories of visiting PEI neighbours, and even snacked on some very ripe tomatoes 🍅 in the greenhouse.

It was just a perfect afternoon and a reminder that eloping (in any weather) is cool AF! 🌧️

PS. The Johnson Shore Inn is our new favourite place and no! they don’t have IG lol ☺️

PS.02 Sean is in the editing cave daily and only comes out to eat, shower & parent our kiddo of course, so thanks for all your patience my loves ❤️

splish splash 🌊

We had a blast with Jenelle & Ben on their little engagement session by the sea 🐟 and let this serve as a reminder to do whatever the f*ck you want for your photos. If you wanna go for a swim as the storm is looming and be silly fishies, we’ll follow you to the depths of the earth lol 👀

But in all seriousness, Jenelle & Ben love the ocean and swimming, so it felt natural for them to be like little kiddos in the water as the waves started getting stronger. We’re a little bit too obsessed and you should be too, ok? 😎

From this first romantic photo, you couldn’t tell how many laughs were shared on Tracadie Beach with Kassia & Chee! 😚

These two sweeties brought all the smiles (and PDA lol) and we spent the better part of the night enjoying one of our first beach nights of the season! 🌊🐚

Meeting our couples for the first time IRL is always so much fun! We always connect on a video call before but nothing like the real deal (it’s like MSN times but better IYKYK 😎).

And did you know that a lot of our couples tell us they feel “awkward” in front of the camera... and we totally get it! ✌🏻(we always prefer being behind the lens as photographers) 💕 But guess what? That’s also where the magic happens. We love helping everyone we meet feel at ease, be themselves, and let their true personalities shine, and our photos reflect just that! 😚

So thanks to you two, Kassia & Chee (and Pippa in spirits 🐶 lol) for making our night so fun! We can’t wait to hang again ♥️

Shelley & Tyler’s downtown Charlottetown elopement was small, personal, and honestly? Full of quiet moments. 🥹

Pressed pansies were laid out for every guest at the table. Simple, yet meaningful. They toasted with just their closest people as the afternoon dipped into night: no big production here, just real mushy stuff and a tight circle.

We kept it free and moved around this magical venue exploring, discovering slivers of light, never forcing moments. We just let the day breathe and everything fell into place. 🌱

You could feel it in the pauses, in how Tyler’s hand stayed on Shelley’s back, but you could feel it in their words too, in how their vows brought everyone to tears (yes! Including us!)

An intimate lupin elopement on PEI 🪻💌

Almost one year ago, we were witnesses to something pretty special: Jill & Brad’s elopement… woven with wildflowers, intention, and the kind of love that’s tangible. (And YES we were actual witnesses to their wedding + signed those papers!) 😎✌🏻

Don’t know if you remember, but the lupins bloomed early last spring. Like, really early. And when your bride is a talented florist whose heart beats for lupins? We move mountains. (Or in this case, scour every backroad and hidden cove across the Island because they don’t live here!)

We spent hours hunting those iconic ditch road blooms, not just for scenery, but because Jill’s connection to them was everything. She hand-tied her bouquet that very morning and when she walked towards Brad, lupins glowing in her hands? We knew every detour was so worth it! ✨

Also huge thanks to the wonderful .pei for grounding this day with us (ps. She’s amazing) 💕

Some days just… stay with you. This is one of them. 🪻

We chose to only shoot film during Mya & Luke’s sunset couple portraits… and wow 🤩

There’s just something about the grain, the light, the soft imperfections that feel nostalgic, timeless, and so real. Sean and I might be “elder millennials” (LOL 😂) but we both grew up seeing our lives unfold on film and that had a huge impact on us. There’s LIFE here you just can’t replicate because film has a way of holding moments exactly as they were: present but imperfect, quiet and loud all at once.

So anyways, enjoy these little frames of Mya & Luke just enjoying their new *married* life together ♥️🫶🏻

Strolling around Charlottetown with Rebeca & Scott 🪻🌱🌧️

If your vibe is more architectural or modern, just know that Charlottetown has got corners, textures, and light that’ll make your eyes believe we’re in a big city!

Rebeca & Scott eyed the grey sky and like every couple, hoped for a sunny day, but sometimes, this typical Island unpredictable weather is what you get. Yeah, it sucks, but cities like Charlottetown? They’re made for this:

We ducked into covered doorways, slipped under awnings, found dry pockets between downpours. Didn’t rush. Didn’t force it.

And Rebecca & Scott? Absolute ICONS ✨😎 Their classic affair + sharp outfits melted into the urban backdrop like they were made for it.

The truth is…
You don’t need a 3-hour photoshoot. And your wedding shouldn’t be a photoshoot (unless you’re totally into that of course)! 💍💒 So give us 15 minutes + a sliver of good light + two people actually present with each other:
That’s all we need.

Fun fact for Island lovers: is barely an 11-minute drive from the wild red cliffs at Cape Tryon 🌊 (and YES, we timed it 🤭)!

We stole Brooke & Carter away just as the sun started setting: no rush, no plan, just letting the salt air and the heat of the sun hit our faces. And that’s the thing about the ocean (and PEI)…it doesn’t just look beautiful, it settles you. It invites you to slow down and to notice everything that surrounds you. It allows you to BE PRESENT ☀️

And right there, mid-laugh and mid-photoshoot, this couple walks past. Turns out it was their anniversary (married years ago), now back where it began. We traded stories as the boats carried on in the ocean. No agenda. No posing. Just humans sharing a bit of magic on the edge of our Island.

Funny how sometimes, the best moments on a wedding day can happen far away from the dance floor.

Just us + the cliffs + the kind of calm you can’t stage. That’s life ✨

While the industry argues about whether vendors should eat appetizers at weddings (weird debate, since humans need food… but wtv 🌭), we’re over here focused on what actually matters:

🌈 How you treat your couples 🌈 How fiercely you protect safe spaces

Being “pro-2SLGBTQIA+” isn’t a sticker. It’s daily action:
 - Killing heteronormative language in questionnaires, emails & social media, convos, etc.  - Honouring pronouns (ours: she/her + he/him; yours: we always ask) - Making damn sure the g**s, thems, and theys feel seen, safe & celebrated with us! ✨

This isn’t about being “woke.” It’s about refusing to let love live in boxes. And having your wedding photographers chant “QUEERDOS” to get the party doing (swipe for a surprise death drop 💀😵)

So yeah. Skip the appetizer debate. This is the conversation worth having.

To every couple whose love exists outside “traditional” lines:
 WE SEE YOU. We fight for you. Not just in June (and July on PEI), but every damn day.
