Dani, Jack, and their crew are exactly the kind of people who make a session feel less like ā€œtaking family photosā€ and more like spending an afternoon with friends.

So naturally, I wanted to make their session completely them ā€” guitars in hand, plenty of laughs, and a stop at one of their favourite places, Prairie Sun Brewery in Saskatoon. šŸ»

From Georgia and Stevenā€™s engagement, to their wedding day, to welcoming their sweet little boy, and now watching them grow into this beautiful family ā€” it has been so special to witness all the little moments along the way.

Thereā€™s something pretty incredible about looking back and realizing a decade has passed, and youā€™ve had the honour of preserving so many of the memories that filled it.

It all started at a place called the Rutherford Houseā€”a gathering spot with friends where two distinct personalities clicked and created something completely special. Jennifer and Chad are the definition of perfect balance: full of fun, incredible energy, and a connection that brings out the absolute best in each other.
When they tied the knot back in 2020, they brought that exact same authentic, joyous vibe to their wedding day at The Backyard Saskatoon. Think warm BBQ, vibrant orange and forest green details inspired by Jenniferā€™s love for daisies and tiger lilies, and a space lit up by endless candles and glowing disco balls. It was playful, intimate, and entirely them.
Fast forward to today, and celebrating their anniversary together felt like stepping right back into that magic. The weather was stunning, the moments were effortless, and getting a behind-the-scenes look at their bond six years later is proof that their love story only gets better with time.

Catching those genuine, joyful smiles starts with dropping the word ā€œCheese!ā€ šŸāœØ

If youā€™ve ever tried forcing a high-energy toddler to sit perfectly still in a field near Airdrie, Irricana, or Calgary, you know itā€™s a fast track to a meltdown. I do things a little differently here at Lovestruck Portraits!

Instead of rigid posing, I lean into play:
