pieced together a short edit of the North Gully Descent from the last mega storm cycle.
Images tell one story, video another! Photos can’t necessary capture the quality or fluidity of a line.
It’s impossible to predict if this one will open up again so nice to confirm with video how it went down!

In Ski Mountaineering there are many factors that need to line up to accomplish and objective in good style.
Time off work, conditions, partners, objective hazards and in this case a very unusual accumulation of snow at Sea Level in Squamish.
There was a slight buzz around the Sea To Sky on things that were opening up for potential ski descents.
and messaged me one evening wondering if I wanted to join on a North Gully recon equipped with gear if it did in fact go on skis.
Strangely, there was Time constraint for the entire group so it fit my schedule to make night shift so I was in..

It was one of the finer backyard adventures I can think of and really stoked on how the day was managed.. Including making Night Shift , Paul making afternoon appointments at the clinic and Eric driving straight to Golden for an event !!
Squamish qualified as a true mountain town on this one!!

The struggle was real.. Climb/ski the line, or 300mm lens angle..😵‍💫
Either way..it was a damn good week in the mountains..
