Parks Canada did an amazing job restoring the site and it’s super informative with Parks Canada guides explaining why and how the Viking came here, the site also has to some folks in costume to complete the experience! Newfoundland- July 2026: The Bonavista Peninsula: we spend the night in Gander next to a bunch of old planes and then drive up the peninsula to see the puffins. We observed them for a long time, they are cute and a bit goofy! We ended the day at Dungeon Provincial Park, a UNESCO geosite.
