A Year of Reflection. 🤍
​Today is World Cancer Day, and if I’m being honest, I woke up with a heart full of terribly complicated emotions. I think everyone touched by this disease knows that feeling—a mix of grief for what we lost, trauma from the battle, and overwhelming gratitude just to be here.
​Exactly one year ago today, the Strength in Community podcast aired my interview with Dr Sevtap Savas: "As a single mom, I could not leave my kids."
​Listening back now explains so much about where my heart is today. It reminds me of the shadows I walked through and the light that pulled me out.
