The Sunset House, Trinity
-
I was invited to stay at this architectural beauty that is perfectly perched on the tip of the Trinity peninsula. With Fort Point Lighthouse and the Skerwink Rocks in the background, we enjoyed both the sunrise and sunset with the 360° view of the area.
-
The Sunset House is the perfect launching point for travelers looking to experience icebergs, puffins, whales, and the wonderful rural culture of Newfoundland while maintaining the comfort of a modern construction.
-
Thanks to for giving me the opportunity to film Trinity's beautiful spring sunsets!

The 7 Berg
-
Nestled between the highest point of Sugarloaf Path and Robin Hood Bay is a grounded Iceberg that's been there about a week. It's slowly melting in the warming waters and a few broken off peices are visible along the coast. Filmed May 18th 2026

After the first wildfire of the year...
-
I stumbled across the location while hunting for icebergs. I met a couple of friendly firefighters who were vigilantly watching over the extinguished (but still active) fire.
-
They told me I could fly when they left in an hour or 2 but I'd already scouted the area for bergs. I went back a few days later after some rain and fog to assess the damage to one of my favourite parts of the ECT.
-
Because of the firefighters' quick response, the damage was limited to a single field and a small part of forest leading up to Whaleback Rock.
