"Gaye Holud", a Bengali take on a "Bridal Shower". A joyous event that includes food, laughter, music and dance. This is a tradition that dates back centuries, where turmeric is applied to the bride/groom in a ritual to purify and beautify the individual before they are to be wed. Traditionally, the bride & groom are not supposed to see each other before the wedding ceremony, but in a modern twist, the couples sometimes celebrate this together.

Continuing the series of our past affiliated work, we revisit Nafiz and Jinia's "Holud" ceremony also supervised by one of our co-founders. This vibrant and colourful event encompasses love and unity in a synergistic mesh. Not to mention the couple looks awesome!

Throwback to 2019. Back when one of our co-founders supervised & worked this event as a member of PROFILE - Wedding & Event Photography.

This photo series illustrates the Akth (a wedding custom in Bangladesh) of "Nafiz and Jinia". Akth roughly translates to togetherness, which can be seen permeating throughout the two families, thanks to the love shared by Jinia and Nafiz, two university sweethearts.

The album contains a multitude of candid photos in an attempt to present the ceremony through the eyes of a guest. This has resulted in the portrayal of the ceremony in its purest form. Only the love and emotion of the people involved can be felt propagating throughout the album.

This photoshoot is one of our favourites. We wish Jinia and Nafiz the very best.

না ... একটি বিয়ে পরিপূর্ণ করে পরিবারের প্রতিটা সদস্যের ভালবাসা, নতুন করে ভালবাসার বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হয় দুটি পরিবার।

পরিবার একটি ভালোবাসায় মাখামাখি আশ্রয়ের নাম, যেখানে স্বার্থহীণ ভালোবাসাই প্রধান চাহিদা সবার আর ভালোবাসাই হল পৃথিবীর সবচেয়ে মধুর কোমল দুরন্ত মানবিক অনুভূতি।

চাকচিক্যময় বিয়ের অনুষ্ঠানের ভিড়ে এই পারিবারিক ভালবাসাগুলো আমাদের চোখের আড়ালেই থেকে যায়। তাই বিশেষ কোন দিনে নয়... সকল দিনে... সব সময়... চোখের আড়ালে বা চোখের সামনে যেখানেই থাকুক... ভাল থাকুক পৃথিবীর প্রতিটি ভালবাসা, প্রতিটি বন্দন। সবাইকে ভালবাসা দিবসের অনেক অনেক ভালবাসা।
