I wish everyone would relive their first date on their wedding day. The emotion and the meaning in it are something else. C&E did just that with the help of the downtown, and the staff were over the moon and so generous to them. Good old Newfoundland kindness and humanity that warms your heart on the chilliest of days. Forget the awkward “perfect” shots. Let’s walk around downtown with a coffee and we’re golden. They also got married too, we can’t forget that :)

Kicking off the 2026 wedding season and my first season in NL in many years. What an epic day spent with C&E and their incredible people. These two have such an ease about them. Casual maternity sessions are 👌 Want your fur babies or plant babies in your photos? How about that colourful feature wall? Or the really great retro tile in your kitchen? Yessss please. This is what I mean when I say "embrace your uniqueness". Your photos will be unlike no other. Motherhood is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, and also the most rewarding. It’s cliche but it really does rip you open from the inside out. You become stronger. You become someone you might not even recognize some days. But it’s you, and it’s a becoming that you never knew was possible until you’ve made it through. Some days I don’t know which way is up, but the one thing I know for sure is that I will love this little person fiercely until the day I die.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the incredible people raising little humans, big humans, and furry children, and to those trying to become parents, or those who have lost a child or parent/grandparent.

Baby L is in the houuuuse! 🏠 They grow SO fast. It blows my mind. We do a lot of First Year packages where we get to see your beautiful faces 3-4 times during that first year and it has to be one of my favourite things. Watching these littles change brings me right back every time.

What is an elopement? At its core its a spontaneous adventure into marriage. No fuss, no fluff, just you and your person showing up in the most real and authentic way possible to say "I will". I get a lot of inquiries for elopements 2-3 years in advance, and my first question is - why wait? If you're ready to plan the wedding, you're ready to tie the knot.

Some tips for planning a last minute elopement (and yes, its very possible!):
- Pick a date - usually a weekday/weekday evening works best and vendor availability is a lot better.
- Find something to wear - a lot of our elopement couples buy dresses via thrift, off the rack, or from online retailers. A tailor can go a long way and save you some funds in the process.
- Let us handle the specifics like the officiant, the ceremony, location, photos and send along trusted vendor recs for the rest.
- Think about what actually matters to you both. You can have witnesses or a handful of guests, but we usually recommend keeping it tiny and intimate, otherwise it starts to defeat the purpose of eloping.
- Go with the flow. Let the day happen as it may. Weather does what it wants, wind might make an appearance (who are we kidding, it's guaranteed in NL), and let's get you married.
