Picnic Minis, a beautiful wedding, and two sweet newborn sessions! One of them was in-home and the other at the studio.

It felt especially fitting to share these images from this family’s maternity session today. One of my favourite parts of this job is when families invite me back again and again. From documenting the anticipation of pregnancy to meeting their newest little love, it’s such a privilege to witness these seasons and watch families grow. Those full-circle moments never get old.

These sessions are about so much more than getting everyone looking at the camera. They're about grandparents with their grandbabies, cousins running around together, siblings squeezing each other tight, uncles making the kids laugh, and preserving the connections that matter most.

One thing I always look for when scouting a session location? Trees. Not just because they’re beautiful, but because they give us options🌳

While golden hour will always have my heart, real life doesn’t always happen at sunset. Kids have naps, work schedules vary, and sometimes the only time everyone can get together is in the middle of the afternoon.

That’s why I love locations like this one. The mature trees create beautiful pockets of shade, giving us soft, flattering light throughout the day while still letting the sunshine peek through. It means your session doesn’t have to be booked at one specific hour to create a beautiful gallery.

And honestly? Every time I come here it feels a little different. The season changes, the light changes, your family changes… and that’s what makes every session unique.

Welcome to Sarah Parker Studios 🤍

Today marks so much more than a new name. It’s the beginning of a brand that finally feels like home.

Over the past few months, I’ve been pouring my heart into creating a space and an experience that reflects not only who I am, but the stories I feel so honoured to tell.

As many of you know, when I first opened my studio in St. Marys, it was shared under Sage & Soul Studios alongside my wonderful friend Brooke. As she begins a new chapter, I’ll now be fully taking over the studio and making it a space that is entirely my own.

Over the coming weeks, you’ll start to see little changes. New signage, fresh window decals, and thoughtful details that make every part of the experience feel intentional from the moment you walk through the door.

For the longest time, I’ve said that I specialize in motherhood and weddings. As this brand has grown, I realized I wanted every part of it to reflect that.

Because to me, photography has never been about booking a single session.

It’s about the journey.

The excitement of saying “yes.”

The joy of saying “I do.”

The anticipation of meeting your baby.

Tiny newborn fingers wrapped around yours.

First birthdays.

Growing families.

Chasing toddlers through a field.

And all the beautiful moments in between.

That’s why you’ll now find Motherhood Sessions instead of separate family and maternity sessions.

Because motherhood isn’t one season.

It’s every chapter.

Family is, and always will be, welcome. But these sessions are about celebrating the moms who are so often behind the camera instead of in front of it. The ones who deserve to be seen, remembered, and surrounded by the people they love most.

More than anything, I hope to be the photographer who walks alongside your family through every season of your story.

This is more than a rebrand.

It’s a reflection of the heart behind everything I do.
