The DanceRoom offers an exceptional family atmosphere, with fun and affordable programming. We’ve been voted the region’s Favourite Dance Studio 9 years in a row. We are proud of our highly-qualified dance instructors whose credentials include dance diplomas and degrees, professional dance association memberships, and experience in dance performance and education. We carefully consider age-appropriateness and safety when choosing costuming, choreography, and music. We believe in frequent communication, transparency, and learning from dance families like you. Costuming, photos, tuition, and more are spread out amongst monthly payments to make for an affordable dance experience. Classes are structured with professional dance syllabi so your family gets the most for their investment. We instruct toddlers to adults, and recreational dancers to competitive dancers. We are home to a large, award-winning competitive team, receiving top-ranking awards, international scholarships, and recognition for best in style and choreography. We are thrilled to provide examination classes, where your dancer can work towards assessments in various styles. We also offer camps, workshops with renowned dance professionals, and birthday parties.

Meet Miss Jen, The DanceRoom’s Owner and Director!

With over 20 years of experience as a studio director, instructor, choreographer, performer, and adjudicator, Jennifer brings an incredible depth of knowledge to The DanceRoom. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor of Education from York University, along with certifications in ADAPT, Acrobatic Arts, Yoga, and more.

Jennifer is passionate about creating a positive learning environment where dancers can build their skills, confidence, and love of dance both inside and outside the studio. 💜

It’s that time of the year again 🎃✨

At The DanceRoom, spirit weeks are a wonderful opportunity to dress up and raise funds for a great cause! Starting Monday, October 26th, Halloween spirit week begins, and dancers can wear a Halloween costume for $2 per class.

All funds will go to the Clearview Food Bank as they prepare for the holiday season. If dancers have multiple classes, they can pay in advance on their first class of the week.

In the past, our spirit weeks have raised thousands of dollars for local charities.

We look forward to seeing all of your costumes this week while doing some good for our community! 🍂👻

Working with guest artists challenges dancers to adapt, take risks, and step outside what feels familiar, all while building musicality, performance quality, individuality, and artistry.

This Saturday, October 17th, our dancers will train with Samantha Schleese in both Contemporary & Hip Hop, with the opportunity to bring everything they learn back into their regular training.

Sometimes the biggest growth comes from stepping out of your usual routine.

Now that we are 30 days into programming, we ask that dancers adhere to our dress code!👯‍♀️

Just as hockey, soccer, and karate have uniforms for safety, skill ex*****on, and uniformity, dance does, too! Wearing proper dance attire helps to:

✅minimize distractions
✅create a team atmosphere
✅allow instructors to see dancers’ alignment
✅mentally prepare your child for their lesson
✅… PLUS, studies show students may be more motivated, engaged, and invested when dressed for success

Wishing our community and dance families a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend! 🦃 🍂

We are incredibly thankful for our students, dance parents, instructors, office staff, and all those in our region who support and believe in us and what we do!

A friendly reminder that the studio is closed this Monday, October 12th.

We look forward to welcoming everybody back to the studio on Tuesday.

Meet your next guest artist 👀✨

We’re excited to welcome Samantha Schleese to The DanceRoom on Saturday, October 17, for a special guest artist workshop in Hip Hop + Contemporary!

With 25+ years of experience as a dancer, choreographer, educator, adjudicator and Artistic Director, Samantha brings a diverse professional background and a whole lot of experience into the studio.

And perhaps most importantly for our dancers… Samantha was a competitive dancer too. 👏

She knows the studio, the competition world and what it’s like to be on the other side of the room, making this a chance for our dancers to learn from someone who truly understands their experience.

More than just learning choreography, this workshop is a chance to train differently, challenge yourself, and experience commercial dance from a new perspective.

Starting the comp season with a little team time 💜

Our start-of-the-year party gave all our teams a chance to hang out, participate in bonding activities, and meet their teammates!

Our buddy program bridges the gaps that can come with different ages and schedules, giving dancers a chance to make new friends, have someone to look up to, and have a familiar face to help them throughout the season.

We’re excited to see these friendships grow throughout the year!

Starting the season strong is all about consistency.

Making dance part of your dancer’s weekly routine helps them settle into classes, build confidence, develop skills, and form friendships along the way.

You don’t have to have it all figured out on day one. Just show up, have fun, and let your dancer grow from there. 💗
