I know it has been a while since my last post, and I know it’s not like me. Yes, I posted a picture of a teapot. Well, not just any teapot. This is the safety blanket teapot—the teapot that comes out when I need a good ol’ British cuppa tea, strong and a little bitter. It perfectly matches my mood and the thoughts swirling around in my head.

Full disclosure: It’s been a roller coaster ride of a year with some amazing moments and some not-so-awesome moments. Moments where I am in tears, feeling like I failed at a dream. Then I realized that running a business is a lot like one of my favourite pastimes, hiking. You don’t know the path ahead of you or where you are going. You have an idea of where you want to go, and sometimes you get on the path and realize that the trail is washed away, and you have to backtrack and try something different.

That is what my studio was for me. It was beautiful, and gosh, I enjoyed it, until I reached a point where I realized that it was preventing me from moving forward. So, as of June 30th, the doors on the studio will be closing. Tears of frustration and loss aside, I am excited for the next path and new adventures. I am excited for the new relationships I have created and can’t wait to see what beautiful and wonderful things we create together.

So, back to my cuppa and carry on.

BTS getting the family holiday cards started in our Stewart clan matching pajamas with Alex’s kilt from in Nova Scotia. I am in love with on this super fun holiday kitchen the beautiful cookie house kit from local .sg . Alex loved putting jujubes on the house but he decided the rest of the candies were for Alex as far as he was concerned.

This is in my studio location. I will have two upcoming on location Christmas sessions stay tuned.
