Some weddings you photograph. Some weddings you get to live in first.

Ethan and Emily Williams gave me both.

I had the privilege of watching these two exchange their vows at Ellis Chapel in Puslinch on Saturday before the night shifted to the stunning RÉUNION bistro in Morriston — where the candles were lit, the polaroid camera came out, and the real magic started.

Ethan is a good friend of mine, which made this one different. There’s a particular kind of joy in watching someone you care about marry the right person. And Emily is absolutely the right person. You can see it in every frame.

That’s the thing about polaroids — they don’t let you hide anything. With Ethan and Emily, the love was everywhere.

Thank you both for letting me be part of your day. These ones go straight to the heart. 📷

This is why I do what I do.

During the reception for Daniel and Char’s wedding this past weekend, I got a chance to watch several people, including Dan and Char, look through their album as it was being created throughout the night.

That’s not a pose. That’s not a prompt. That’s a real feeling, on real film, from a real wedding day.

Digital photos are beautiful. But there’s something about holding a polaroid of yourself — on your wedding day — that hits completely differently.

If you want moments like this at your wedding, I’d love to hear from you.

This is a snapshot of what a Goeree Photography wedding album looks like.

Every photo you see was taken on film, on Dan and Char’s wedding day. No filters, no editing magic — just good light, a Polaroid camera, and a couple who trusted me with their day.

The album lives on their shelf now. Not on a hard drive. Not in a cloud folder somewhere. On their actual shelf, where they can actually touch it.

That’s the whole point.

If you want an album like this from your wedding day, I’d genuinely love to make that happen.

First wedding of 2026, and it went to two people who deserved it most. 🤍

Dan and Charlotte have been each other’s person since high school. I’ve had the privilege of watching that unfold from the sidelines — and on Friday they made it official.

There’s something about photographing people you love. You already know how they look at each other. You already know the laugh. You just have to show up and let the film do the rest.

Congratulations, Dan and Char. The album is full, the memories are real, and I couldn’t be prouder to have been your photographer.

Here’s to a lifetime more. 📷

It’s an original Tavistock love story.

I had the chance this weekend to celebrate Angus and Maddy Rowland at Greyson Mills in Stratford for the last scheduled wedding of the year. These two have known each other for over 25 years, growing up together in Tavistock and began dating during university. Over the years, their two families have grown tightly knit together and this weekend they become one.

Maddy’s brother Tyson asked me back in July to come for the reception as a surprised for them.

It’s always a great time when partying with people from Tavistock. We even got into the World Series spirit with a cowboy hat. Despite their loss in Game 2, everyone still had an unforgettable time celebrating this amazing couple. So many inflatable guitars!

Congrats to Maddy and Angus on their big day!

The second wedding of the weekend took me back to Puddycombe House in downtown New Hamburg to celebrate Brady and Alli Hondrich!

I’ve known Brady and Ali since high school, and I played softball with Brady on the New Hamburg Heat. For a nice surprise, I found some old softball hats for him and other teammates at the reception to reminisce and have some fun. Safe to say, they were a home run ⚾️

Last night was a great night all around. Everyone wanted to take so many photos we had to double up most parts of the album to leave the bride and groom with even more memories of their night.

Congrats to Brady and Ali and thank you so much for having me!

The busy fall wedding season continues, as I took one more trip to Wakefield Estate in Bright to celebrate Jen and Cody Rayner!

Jen and I went to high school together and I had the chance to meet Cody last night. He set the tone for a wild night when he shocked the crowd before the reception by saying “We are expecting…… expecting everyone to have a good time!”

It was great to see old W-O classmates again and to get photos of everyone coming together to celebrate this great couple.

Congrats to Jen and Cody on their big day!

A big thank you to for hosting an amazing reception and for having me throughout the year for several weddings!

The final summer wedding of the year took me back to beautiful Elle By Stella in St. Jacobs this weekend to celebrate Sophie and Josh Borys.

This was the second 64 album of the year to capture those special moments with family and friends during the reception.

Congrats to Sophie and Josh on their big day!
