To the moms holding their babies today, and the ones whose arms feel empty. To those who carried a life, even briefly — your love was real, your loss is real. You are a mother.

To the women still waiting and still hoping. To the aunts, the grandmothers, the ones who mothered without the title.

And to anyone for whom today feels heavy — grief doesn't pause for holidays, and that's okay.

Motherhood isn't just one shape. It's love in all its forms — fierce, tender, hopeful, and unbreakable.

We've been a little absent from social media since last Wednesday as we were working behind the scenes for this year's Community over Cancer event.

Watch our feeds as we get back into the regular swing of things with 4 babies over the next 7 days, 2 large extended family sessions, a maternity session, and blossom minis on the weekend. I appreciate everyone's patience as we work through this busy springtime.

If you see other photographers looking sleepy, understand that we are coming out of the winter slow season to a hyper spring and trying to keep up while finding balance at home.

Here are just a few images from the amazing event here in Strathroy on Saturday, coming together, raising money for people here in our community battling cancer.

There’s something about turning ONE that feels bigger than just a birthday.

Maybe it’s the way their personality suddenly shows up in full—little smirks, curious looks, the belly laughs you can’t plan for. Or how one minute they’re sitting sweetly in a dress, and the next they’re covered in cake and pure joy.

This session was all things pink, bows, and just the right touch of gold—but what really made it unforgettable were the in-between moments. The giggles. The expressions. The tiny sparks of who she’s becoming.

These milestones don’t wait. They don’t slow down. And a year from now, everything will look different again.

But this time, she stepped in.

And in that moment, holding her baby close, there was nothing but love. No pressure. No perfection. Just connection.
