We have moved so much that it always takes me so long to put pictures up, but since we have big kids moving out and getting married, I miss their faces. I love sessions like these. I love embracing kids at the stage they are at. That doesn’t always mean that perfect “look at me and smile” moments. It means tongues getting stuck out, tickles to get laughter, playing Ring a Round the Rosie. It always makes for a better session when you just allow kids to be kids. One of my favourite photos of our large family is all the kids making faces at the baby trying to get her to smile as she cried. It wasn’t perfect. But it showed this beautiful sibling love, and exactly what stage our family was at. How about you? Do you have a favourite family photo that maybe was a little less than perfect?
