Wild and Free in Alberta Amateur Photographer hoping to raise awareness of these amazing horses through photography. I am an amateur wildlife photographer.

My main focus is on the wild horses of Alberta with the hope of drawing more attention to these beautiful and often misunderstood animals. I am not actively selling my photos but if you see something that you really want I will try to make it happen.

The horses are very hard to find this time of year, so when I found Sterling I watched them for quite a while. Every so often they would all become very alert so I knew there had to be a predator close by somewhere. Finally there was a sound in the trees and they had had enough and left the area. I loved watching the herd dynamic of this band . I waited for a while after they left but never did see what scared them off.

I’ve spent countless hours with these horses, watching their families grow, meeting new foals and following their lives through the seasons. ❤️🐴

I share them because I want others to see what I see out there.

Not just wild horses, but families, relationships and lives unfolding exactly as they should... wild and free.

There is already a lot being shared about what is being proposed for Alberta’s wild horses, so today I’m simply asking you to help their story reach a little farther.
