I've changed one thing about this year's VIP Sessions.
Ironically... it's the one thing that changes everything.
For years, women have applied to become VIP participants by filling out a registration form before we met for their in-person consultation.
This year, I'm asking something entirely different.
Before anyone is invited to participate, I'll ask each woman to do two simple things.
First, she'll write something to herself.
It can be a heartfelt love letter or an original haiku. There are no perfect words to find, no poetry degree required, and no right or wrong answer. Only honesty.
Second, she'll choose a favourite selfie. Not the most glamorous one. Not the most polished one. Simply one that feels like her.
Months later, after her bo***ir photographs have been created, those same words and that same selfie will become part of something deeply personal. A quiet reminder that this journey was never about becoming someone else. It was about seeing the woman who had been there all along.
When her artwork is ready, the words she wrote to herself at the very beginning of this journey will be returned to her.
This year's VIP Project isn't simply about creating beautiful photographs.
It's about the relationship we have with ourselves long before the camera ever enters the conversation.
