Signs of autumn are beginning to make their mark! I love this season for the quality of light, the smell, the colors, and the transition from growth to a restorative period, preparing for renewal in the coming spring.
One of my favorite places to be in autumn is any of the forest parks. They are full of activity, with all the creatures busy preparing for the season. One such place is Campbell Valley Regional Park out in Langley. Chipmunks, Douglas squirrels, nuthatches, chickadees, a variety of ducks, and many smaller creatures we might not notice until we slow down to really look and listenโlike frogs, insects, and miceโare all foraging. The plant life undergoes change, bringing warm earthy colors that soothe our minds and hearts. There is such a sense of community amognst all the living things and beings. Nature is truly full of wonder and beauty.
Here is a small album of autumn photography to capture these moments whih I adore! ๐๐ธ
