After a crazy, busy week, I spent a few quiet hours on Christmas Eve editing portraits of this sweet, adorable GEM from our photo session together at Pink.

Jaelyn was such a joy to photograph - and she is a fabulous cheerleader too! 📣 And Lisa, her mom, sent me the most wonderful, enthusiastic email on Christmas Day thanking me for her photos! Thanks for being fabulous Jaelyn and Lisa! ❤️🎅🏻🎄❤️

I finished editing the rest of the UBCO rugby playoffs. Here are some of my favorites of Jackson.

It was a great season - UBCO was undefeated the whole season until sadly they lost the final to University of Calgary. (UBCO beat Calgary in the season opener, but then they come out slow in the final game. They picked themselves back up, but it wasn’t in time. They lost 27-17. Next year…) UBC Okanagan Heat

When it comes to sewing Halloween costumes, I am always so behind schedule! I always plan to sew them early and have the patterns and the tutorial posts up in September.

But then life - and my illness - get in the way and I end up scrambling to get the girls costumes sewn just in time for Halloween never mind getting the post published early!

After, I am so exhausted from the mad dash to the finish line, that I put off creating the pattern and tutorial for the blog. I design and self-draft my costumes, so going back and getting a pattern and tutorial for others to use is a huge task.

Last year, I shared photos here of my favourite costume that I've ever made but I didn’t have the time or energy to get a post up on our blog.

So I finally published a post about it last night!

It took me ages to sew this Beetlejuice Lydia Deetz outfit for Julia last year, but I love it so much.

I've shared photos and a bit about the process of making the dress, along with an explanation of my health. If there is enough interest in the dress, I will share a sewing tutorial and pattern for it.

It was incredible to be back for Sea to Sky 2022 with Champion Cheerleading after the two year pandemic hiatus!
