Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how expensive life has become… and I think it’s beginning to feel heavy for a lot of us.

As much as I believe photographs are one of the few things that only become more valuable with time, I also know they can feel like a luxury when you’re simply trying to keep up with everyday life.

But the truth is, this season of motherhood won’t wait for life to slow down.

Sweet little Addilyn 🤎

I got to spend a couple of hours with you, waiting to see if you’d finally drift off to sleep… but you had other plans. Eyes wide open, little wiggles, tiny whines, and making it very clear you weren’t about to miss a thing.

In-home sessions will always have a special place in my heart. They feel raw and beautifully lived-in,, capturing this chapter right where your family’s story is unfolding.

We almost rescheduled because of the rain.
But something told us to just go for it.

And honestly? I don’t think this session would’ve felt the same without it.

Instead, we slowed down. We embraced it. We laughed when the rain picked up, tucked ourselves under the umbrella for a minute, and then kept going.

It’s funny how often the sessions that don’t go exactly as planned end up being the ones I can’t stop thinking about.

So here’s your little reminder that rainy skies don’t mean your photos won’t be beautiful. Sometimes it’s what makes them extra special. 🤎

While I’ve been away from posting, I’ve been collecting inspiration for the season ahead. Behind the scenes, dreaming, creating, and feeling inspired by the stories I want to tell this season.

I’ve been quietly planning these creative motherhood sessions, wanting them to feel less like a photoshoot and more like a memory in the making.

These are thoughtfully planned experiences that invite connection, play, and all the little moments in between.

Hi, friends ♡

It’s been a little while since I’ve shown my face around here, and even longer since I’ve properly introduced myself.

So, hello! I’m Serena.

A motherhood photographer based in Central Alberta, with a love for documenting the emotional and tender delicacy of life. I’m someone who feels deeply and is drawn to the beauty woven into the world and people around me.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me at home with a cup of tea, wrapped up in a blanket, always dreaming up new creative ideas.

Over the last few months, I’ve been a little quieter online, but behind the scenes I’ve been creating, planning, and feeling deeply inspired by the stories I want to tell this season.

If you’re new here, welcome. And if you’ve been here for a while, thank you for being part of this little corner of the internet.

I’m so glad you’re here.

As we head into a new season, my books are open for motherhood and family sessions, and I can’t wait to tell more of your stories.
