These are memories from the 2025 Essa National Horse Show. There is a focus on a hitch titled "Terragold" as that is from my hometown of Cannington. Terragold is a draft horse farm owned by Stephen and Sherry Lewis, that are known by all in the draft horse world in North America, as both are Draft Horse Judges and have been called from overseas to be part of a draft horse educational film. Sherry is beyond skilled in so much, she also worked frontline desk in a busy veterinarian practice- and she is always so humble in her life's accomplishments- and is so giving to our community. The first picture here is the new "who" that caught my attention this year, this was the announcer that was beyond educated about the horses and people this day, he was telling us about a story in a national magazine about the draft horse riders at this show during the hitch class intermissions. I found out this announcer lives near Ottawa and is one of those "go getters" in life balancing a full time job and announcing on weekends. He doesn't just attend shows reading the program, he finds out news by going to draft horse social events and extensive reading to be the highly educated- and passionate announcer he truly is.
