Getting to capture Amy before her Quinceañera was such a special experience! ✨👑

A Quinceañera is a beautiful Latin American tradition celebrating a young girl’s 15th birthday and her transition into young womanhood. It’s a day filled with family, celebration, beautiful dresses, and of course… feeling like an absolute princess! 💕👸

And honestly?! North America needs to fully embrace this tradition because EVERY little girl deserves a day where she gets to wear the gown, feel beautiful, be celebrated, and shine like the princess she is! 🥹✨

It was so much fun watching Amy absolutely GLOW in her stunning gown before heading off to celebrate her big day! 🥳💖 She looked truly beautiful, and I’m so grateful I got to capture these special memories for her!

The Backdrop Matters 🤍

Can we talk about how much I LOVE this church?! 😍 The stone, the architecture, those beautiful wooden doors… it makes the dreamiest wedding backdrop.

And this is something I always encourage my couples to think about when planning their wedding day:

What do you want your wedding gallery to look like? 📸✨

If you love the idea of having lots of variety in your photos, think beyond just the ceremony location. A beautiful church, a city street, a lush garden, a waterfront, a cool architectural spot… each backdrop can completely change the feel of your gallery.

But here’s the important part: talk to your photographer about this BEFORE your wedding day. 👏

We can look at your timeline, locations, travel time and lighting to figure out what’s actually realistic—and how we can fit multiple photo locations into your day without making you feel like you’re spending your entire wedding running around for pictures. 😂

A little planning ahead can make SUCH a difference.

Because if you already know you want a gallery full of beautiful, diverse backdrops… choose them intentionally and build them into your timeline. 🤍

Your photographer 👋 should be helping you think about the whole gallery, not just the individual photos. ✨📸
