Our Newborn Session be like, as we've been told. Is a relaxing experience for our parents and especially for our babies.
Choosing the person to capture your newborn’s first portraits is a big decision. While a beautiful portfolio is essential, the how behind those images matters most. Here’s what to prioritize when looking for your newborn photographer: ⤵️
1️⃣ SAFETY AS A FIRST LANGUAGE.
This goes beyond being "good with babies." Look for a photographer who can articulate their safety training, prioritizes proper neck/head support in every pose, and never takes a risk for a shot.
2️⃣ A BABY-WHISPERER MINDSET.
The magic happens when baby is peaceful. Your photographer should have a deep bag of soothing tricks—from specialized swaddling—and the patience to follow your baby’s lead. The session should feel calm, not rushed.
3️⃣ A SANITARY, COMFORTING SPACE.
The studio should be warm (for baby!), clean, and organized. All props, wraps, and surfaces should be sanitized between clients. Don’t be shy to ask about their cleaning routine.
4️⃣ TRANSPARENCY & TRUST.
You should feel 100% comfortable. A great photographer will welcome your questions, encourage you to stay close during poses, and make you feel like a calm, confident partner in the process.
Your baby’s safety and comfort are the foundation of every beautiful image we create. My training in newborn safety and soothing techniques is at the core of my process, ensuring a peaceful experience for your little one and peace of mind for you.
