I see you putting brand photos on the back burner, and wanting to do literally anything else. 😅👀

I definitely missed a few in here, but basically if you’ve built a business you’re really proud of, you know your marketing needs more than that one pretty headshot, and you understand that letting people actually see you + what you do helps them trust you / remember you / want to work with you


But you also reallllllly don’t feel like figuring out what to wear, where to shoot, what the heck you’re supposed to do in front of the camera or how you’ll actually use 40+ photos afterward

If you’re planning brand photos in Ottawa, studios are a great option, especially if you don’t have a physical space of your own to shoot in.

They give us a blank canvas to build around your brand, your colours, your props, and how you want your photos to look and feel.

But studios are only ONE of the types of locations I work in.

Depending on your business, we might:

- rent an Airbnb
- shoot onsite at your storefront, office or workspace
- head outdoors

The location should make sense for your business and help create the look and feel you want your photos to have.

Trying to cram an entire year of your business into one brand shoot can feel like a lot.😅

And I’m here for “a lot.” I personally LOVE a high-energy, fast-paced shoot that blows your mind a little and sends you home with a ton of variety. ✹

Buuuut when you’ve got a business + personal brand with lots of moving parts, new launches, continuous membership enrolments, new team, seasonal campaigns, new opportunities, it’s just not going to happen all in one shoot. đŸ« 

Especially when you’re not 100% sure what’s coming six months down the road.

& that’s why I created The Visual Collective.

Instead of trying to plan every photo you could possibly need in one day, we plan three shoots throughout the year based on what’s actually happening in your business and what you need next.

For Kat at Kat Tepylo Murphy | Small Business Social Media Strategy, that meant building a gallery throughout the year with photos she could use to promote all the different parts of her business, from her Social Goals Membership + content parties to the strategy she brings to her work and the fun personality behind her brand.

Basically, think of me as your in-house photographer.

I’m keeping an eye on what’s coming up, helping you figure out what photos you’ll need, and planning each shoot with you so you’re not starting from scratch every time.

THE BRAND FOUNDATIONS. ft HER Marketing Collective. 😍

This is my favourite brand photo offering (and yours!!!) for a reason


Time to style scenes, change outfits, try 37 different poses, time to make sure we’re loving what’s on the back of the camera, snack, laugh, and completely crash at the end of the day because we gave it our all. đŸ€ŁđŸ˜­

I’ve never run a marathon but I imagine this is what it would feel like đŸ€Ł. Lots of prep and effort to make it to the finish line, but so much pride and accomplishment from getting it done. 🙌

Can’t wait to see Her Marketing Collective put all these photos to work across their website, social media, in print and everywhere else this dynamic duo shows up. đŸ‘Żâ€â™€ïž
